THE ADZE: Housing in Lebreton

Home / THE ADZE: Housing in Lebreton

As the newest addition to the Ottawa Skyline, theADZEĀ symbolizes a new era for Canada’s Capital city. Reaching 200 meters in height, this is the tallest building to be located in the heart of Lebreton Flats. This building is a translation from the urban idea in “Linking Lebreton Masterplan” to the building scale, where orientation and site strategy was organized around it’s surrounding links.

theADZE amalgamates a condominium, hotel, townhouses as well as both large and small retail spaces into one densely developed block in the heart of the vibrant Lebreton Flats neighbourhood. The tower acts as a landmark that straddles the urban development’s edge while communicating with a series of 3 other towers, in sequence of height increase, that border a centralized recreational green space.

Residents will enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness/weight areas, yoga studio, massage/spa section, board and party rooms including an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi. Residents will have direct access to the aqueduct retail strip as well as the nearby newly developed LRT station.

The high-rise accommodates 112 hotel units, and 239 residential units. The breakdown of the unit types are as follow:

  • Bachelor: 64
  • 1 Bed: 119
  • 1 Bed + den: 7
  • 2 Bed: 40
  • 3 Bed: 7
